MIGRATION + REVOLUTION Rimsky-Korsakov String Quartet

This concert honors the centenary of the Bolshevik Revolution of October 1917 (which took place October 25th/26th, 1917), and the memory of all those it displaced and affected. Doors open at 6:30, concert at 7

The renowned Rimsky Korsakov String Quartet from St. Petersburg will perform music by Russian composers Sergey Rachmaninov and Aleksandr Gretchaninov, who emigrated to the US, as well as a rarely played quartet by the Soviet Jewish composer Moishe Weinberg, a disciple and friend of Dimitri Shostakovich.
