DESCRIPTION:Olga Lisovska\, featured soloist with New Philharmonia Orchestra \nDorogi Druzi\, Dear Friends! \nI would like to invite you to come this Sunday\, March 12th\, at 3PM at Brown Middle School in Newton\, MA to New Philharmonia Orchestra’s concert! \nAs a featured soloist\, I will be performing three virtuoso works: \n– Juliette’s Waltz from Roméo et Juliette by C. Gounod\n– “Солов’їний Романс”/ “The Nightingale’s Romance” by A. Kos-Anatolsky (New England premiere of the Ukrainian song\, accompanied by a full orchestra)\n– “Glitter and be gay” – Cunegonde’s aria from Candide by L. Bernstein \nConductor – Jorge Soto \nThe orchestra sounds glorious\, and it is an absolute treat to be performing these beautiful works with them! It is especially important to me to be performing the Ukrainian art song by A. Kos-Anatolsky. The magical beauty of the melody will transport you to the peaceful and warm summer night of Ukraine! \nThe Orchestra will also perform works by Lili Boulanger and Cesar Franck. \nSee you there on Sunday! \n\nTickets \n\n\n\n\nNative of Kyiv\, Ukraine\, Olga Lisovska holds degrees from Middlebury College\, École Normale de Musique d’A. Cortot in Paris\, France and L’Institut des Sciences Politiques in Paris\, France. A critically acclaimed classical soprano\, Olga’s career involves both singing on prestigious concert stages\, including Carnegie Hall\, and producing events and performances. Olga produced award-winning opera productions at Commonwealth Lyric Theater\, a Boston-based opera company\, and Talents of the World’s Annual Music Festival at Carnegie Hall. \nAs a performer\, Ms. Lisovskaya’s concerts have been featured on Ukrainian\, Italian and American TV\, including on the Today Show. \nOlga is a founder of a nonprofit organization\, Music\, Arts and Fashion Productions. MAF is known for producing Newton’s famous Musical Café’s series for 5 years in a row. \nBeing a passionate connector\, Olga serves as Managing Partner at Sky International Center\, the largest international social\, cultural and business network of 25\,000 members in New England. \nMs. Lisovska is a sought-after voice teacher and diction coach. As diction coach she works with Tanglewood Festival Chorus at Boston Symphony\, Odyssey Opera\, and New England Conservatory. \nSince the start of Russia’s war in Ukraine\, Olga has partnered up with a team of friends to found Sky Philanthropy\, a non-profit organization\, which seeks to support people in crisis. This summer\, Olga and her team at Sky Philanthropy produced first Boston Ukrainian Festival\, which was attended by over 3\,000 people and featured in major news outlets. Current mission is to help as many Ukrainian children and adults with humanitarian aid\, accommodations for refugees and medical assistance as possible. \nMs. Lisovska has been giving performance lectures about Ukrainian music and song literature to audiences ranging from children\, to students in universities\, to adults and seniors. \nOlga’s life purpose is to inspire positive change through connections for life\, coaching and art performances. www.OlgaLisovskaya.com \nExactly on the day of the one year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine\, Olga was a guest on WBUR radio program\, with Congressman Jake Auchincloss\, and hosted by Tiziana Dearing.
