DESCRIPTION:Musical Fundraiser for Ukraine @ Follen Church Featuring International Contralto Vira Slywotzky \nWhat: “This Ukrainian American Life\, a concert/cabaret fundraiser for Razom for Ukraine \nWhen: Wednesday June 12th\, 2024\n• 6:15 Pre-Concert Reception (food and beverages to be provided)\n• 7:30 pm Concert \nWhere: Follen Church Sanctuary\, 755 Massachusetts Avenue\, Lexington\, MA 02420 \nTicketing/Donations: https://TUAL_FollenChurch.eventbrite.com \nThis timely and relevant world-class musical event is part of the “This Ukrainian-American Life” Northeast tour in support of Razom for Ukraine\, a leading grassroots direct humanitarian relief charity. In Lexington\, it will take place in the historic Follen Church Sanctuary. \nVira Slywotzky\, originally from Cambridge and one of today’s world’s leading contraltos\, will star in a magnificent musical evening accompanied by renowned pianist Paul Carlson\, celebrating American and Ukrainian classical\, folk\, and popular songs\, punctuated by stories about growing up as a Ukrainian-American\, the Russian war in Ukraine\, and how fellow Lexingtonians and other Bay Staters have\, and can\, make a decisive difference in this existential fight for freedom. \n100% of the proceeds of the concert will be donated to Razom. Currently prioritizing the delivery of power-generating items in response to Russia’s targeting of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure\, Razom delivers hospital and residential generators\, blankets\, and winter clothing. Other life-sustaining items being provided include food and medicine\, evacuating people\, and providing shelter. Founded in 2014\, Razom for Ukraine has provided over $115M+ in assistance to Ukrainians in need.
