SUMMARY:Newton Neighbor in Need of Support
DESCRIPTION:Dear Neighbors: \nWhile I look forward to teaching\, writing\, editing\, or otherwise collaborating with and supporting you\, I wanted to ask you to do what you can to help a neighbor in need. \nJeanie Gruber is a therapist-turned-caterer who splits her time between New Orleans and Newton. As the founder of WISHDISH\, she visits homeless shelters (including Common Cathedral in Boston)\, where she asks the guests about the dishes they wish they could enjoy again and then cooks them for the entire community! \nFor years\, Jeanie has been funding and cooking for the organization on her own. To grow WISHDISH\, she has released a cookbook featuring recipes and stories from the Common Cathedral community\, with proceeds supporting the program. \nOn October 23 at 6 PM\, I will be interviewing Jeanie at Boston Public Market as part of my new food-related author talk series. I hope that you can join us and that you will consider coming by\, buying the book\, and sharing the news with other neighbors so Jeanie can grow the organization and help more people. \nAlso\, if you can think of other places to host events that feature either Jeanie or any of the other authors who have appeared on my nationally syndicated author talk show and international podcast\, please let me know. \nThank you! \nLiterally\,\nMatt \nMatt Robinson EdM\, MAT\n61 Moraine Street\, Unit 12\nBelmont\, MA 02478 \nAuthor of Lions\, Tigers\, and…Bulldogs? An unofficial guide to the legends and lore of the Ivy League \nHost of “The Writer’s Block” (nationally syndicated author interview series) (Please subscribe to my NEW Substack) \nPublisher of Matt’s Meals (food-related writing and broadcasts carried on WBZ/iHeart Radio) \nPublisher of The Robinson Reporter (general writing\, including editorial and communications work) \nPlease follow me on Twitter @robinson_report and email me with story ideas or communications needs at Matt@TheRobinsonReporter.com. \nc. 2025 M.S.
