DESCRIPTION:ACJ New England \nHow Antisemitism Grows: Lessons from Boston’s 1930s Nazi Movement \nThe history of Nazis in Boston\, their relationship to Christian groups\, and parallels to extremism and Antisemitism today. \nIn conversation with Dr. Charles Gallagher\, S.J.\, Author of the acclaimed Nazis of Copley Square: The Forgotten Story of the Christian Front \nThe Elie Wiesel Center for Jewish Studies at Boston University and American Jewish Committee (AJC) New England are pleased to present Dr. Charles Gallagher\, S.J.\, author of the acclaimed book “Nazis of Copley Square: The Forgotten Story of the Christian Front\,” for a talk about the rise of the Nazi movement in Boston and New York before\, during\, and after the Second World War. \nIn an era where extremism is again finding a home in American political life\, Gallagher’s work on this little-known history\, as well as his current research\, speaks to the challenges of our times and reminds us that dangerous extremism can happen anywhere. \nFollowed by a panel discussion exploring the connections between our past and growing antisemitism and extremism today. \nAbout Dr. Charles R. Gallagher\, S.J. \nDr. Gallagher is an Assistant Professor of History at Boston College and the author of several acclaimed books.
