SUMMARY:Under the Spotlight
DESCRIPTION:LimmudBoston at Center Makor\, in partnership with petropol.com presents \nUnder the Spotlight\nA Musical Journey Through the Ages and Across Borders\nfrom Vivaldi to Mercury \n\n\nPianist Evgeny Alexeev and Hungarian singer Natalia Balint met while studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart (Musikhochschule Stuttgart) in Germany. Over a decade of collaboration\, the musicians have performed across Europe (Germany\, Austria\, Switzerland\, Hungary\, Montenegro\, Poland\, Russia\, Ukraine\, and others) and Asia (Uzbekistan\, Israel)\, appearing both as a duo and alongside other musicians and orchestras. They have given hundreds of performances in venues of all sizes and formats\, ranging from intimate chamber halls and music salons to philharmonic stages and open-air festivals. \nA defining characteristic of both the individual musicians and the duo as a whole is their versatility and command of multiple genres. It is rare to find a duo capable of performing the following with equal professionalism and flair: \n\nA classical aria or art song (romance)\,\nAn operetta number (complete with dance and costume changes)\,\nA musical theater composition\,\nA rock or pop hit.\n\n***\nPerformance Program: \nPart 1: World-famous classical works from various eras—Vivaldi\, Mozart\, Bizet\, Saint-Saëns\, Tchaikovsky\, Rachmaninoff\, Stravinsky\, Kodály\, and others. Includes opera and operetta arias\, art songs\, and virtuosic piano pieces. \nPart 2: Hits from musicals\, rock\, and pop music in original arrangements—The Beatles\, Queen\, Pink Floyd\, Genesis\, Michael Jackson\, and others. Also features original songs by Natalia and Evgeny. The concert is a journey through a wide variety of eras\, musical genres\, and styles. Over the course of a single performance\, the audience is transported from the opera house to a rock concert\, and from a Baroque palace to the Broadway stage. \nThe concert is hosted in both Russian and English. A reception will be held after the performance. \nTICKETS \nTickets: $40 Early Bird (by August 25)\, $45 General\, $50 at the Door \nABOUT THEATER ON THE ROOF \n\nLimmudBoston at Center Makor
