Blending the avant-garde with traditional Russian iconography and combining ancient symbols with contemporary subjects\, Gassel creates surrealist works that reflect his cultural heritage alongside his experience of life in America.\nAlexander Gassel uses ancient techniques employed in the creation of icon paintings. He paints with egg yolk tempera\, making his own color pigments by grinding natural stones and minerals\, such as malachite\, cinnabar\, or lapis into powder\, which he then mixes with egg yolk. The artist often applies gold or silver leaf on the paintings. My work arises from observation rather than instruction — from standing still\, listening\, and looking carefully at the world in front of me.\nThe image of Birkenau was taken six years ago using infrared optics. I chose infrared not for effect\, but because it reveals what ordinary sight cannot: the quiet trace of time\, the way memory lingers in light long after people have disappeared. For me\, this photograph is not a document of a place\, but an encounter with history — a way of seeing underlying presence and absence at the same moment.\nPhotography\, like psychiatry\, is an act of attention. It asks you to stay\, to witness\, and to hold what is often difficult to hold. This is what I try to do with my images.\n\n			\n		 \nMichael Farro (Mikhail Faktorovich) — Marquetry\nmichaelfarro.art\nMichael Farro was born in Bobruisk\, Belarus. In parallel with his technical career\, he pursues marquetry — creating narrative wood veneer panels that explore memory\, history\, and human experience. With subzero temperatures and widespread power outages\, many families in Kyiv are left without heat or electricity. \nThe evening features Vadim Neselovskyi\, the internationally acclaimed Ukrainian pianist and composer\, who is donating his performance while traveling between concerts in Vienna and New York\, where he will present his new album PERSEVERANTIA. His work has been recognized by NPR\, PBS NewsHour\, The Boston Globe\, and The New York Times. \nDr. Ron Hirshberg (Home Base / Mass General Brigham)\, a participant in the “Invisible Wounds of Ukraine” initiative and the producer of the documentary Standing Up Against the Sky\, will present his film about a ballet dancer who went to the front in the first days of the large-scale aggression against Ukraine. Gony is a member of the Israeli Institute of Group Analysis and brings extensive experience in trauma and resilience. She served as a Mental Health Officer in the Israel Defense Forces (Air Force\, Intelligence Corps\, and the Combat Reaction Unit). В 1982 году был лишен советского гражданства и эмигрировал в США. \nС 1991 года практикует и преподаёт экстренную медицину в Harvard University. В течение многих лет возглавлял клинику экстренной медицины\, а в настоящее время является директором одной из гарвардских резидентур. \nС юности увлекается альпинизмом\, горными лыжами\, дайвингом и парусным спортом. В 1990 году совершил восхождение на Mount Everest. Петь и писать стихи начал ещё в детстве. Ему посчастливилось быть знакомым с Александрoм Галичeм\, Владимирoм Высоцким\, Булатoм Окуджавoй\, Юрием Кукиным\, Евгением Клячкиным\, Александром Дольским. Аккомпанировал Владимиру Высоцкому во время записей; фирма «Мелодия» выпустила две пластинки с этими записями. \nВ 2016\, 2017\, 2018 и 2019 году по приглашению Фонда Булата Окуджавы выступал с сольными концертами в Доме Булата на Арбате в Москве\, в 2017 – в Доме Журналиста\, в 2019 году – в Московском Доме Кино. В декабре 2019 года в Москве провёл вечер памяти близкого друга\, актера Московского Театра на Таганке Димы Межевича. \nВ 2019 выступил с сольным концертом в Konzerthaus Berlin по приглашению организаторов фестиваля в честь скрипача Гидона Кремера. \nБард Слава Гауфберг.
