Bonjour! \nOn behalf of Music\, Arts & Fashion Productions and Boston International Music Competition\, I would like to invite you to a very special concert DEUX VOIX: A Paris-Boston Reunion in Song\, on Saturday\, July 26th at 5:00 PM\, at the beautiful House of Arts in Gloucester\, MA—a private oceanside mansion known for its support of the arts. \nWhen I studied in Paris\, France\, I became friends with a brilliant mezzo-soprano\, Nona Javakhidze. She came to Paris on the invitation of the French government as an experienced and promising opera soloist from Tbilisi Opera Theater (Georgia)\, and received highest awards diploma from the prestigious Ecole Normale d’A. Cortot (where we studied together.) Nona remained in France and enjoys a very successful solo operatic career\, performing at the best opera houses in Europe\, including at the Opera National de Paris. I went back to the US\, and we have not seen each other since\, but we kept in touch all these years. \nNona is traveling to the US this summer to make her US debut and to preside as a judge at the Boston International Music Competition (www.BIMC.us) I could not miss this opportunity to spend time with her\, and we will do a concert together at the beautiful House of Arts in Gloucester\, MA on July 26th at 5PM. \nI invite you to join this special Paris-Boston reunion\, where Nona and I will perform beloved French repertoire\, duets\, opera\, mélodies\, etc. We hope to see you there! Born in Torez\, Ukraine\, she first pursued medicine before earning honors in vocal performance and piano from the Tbilisi State Conservatory in 1992. She began her operatic career at the Tbilisi and Batumi Operas\, performing major roles like Amneris in Aida… In 1997\, she moved to France on a government scholarship\, studying with renowned vocalists Caroline Dumas and Régine Crespin. Her French debut launched a flourishing European career\, with acclaimed performances in Bordeaux (Carmen)\, Paris Bastille (Eugene Onegin)\, and top venues across Geneva\, Barcelona\, Brussels\, and Madrid… A frequent concert soloist\, she has performed works by Verdi\, Mozart\, Beethoven\, Mahler\, and Stravinsky. With a discography spanning opera and symphonic repertoire\, Ms. Javakhidze is internationally lauded for her artistry and versatility. \nNative of Kyiv\, Ukraine\, Olga Lisovska holds degrees from Middlebury College\, École Normale de Musique d’A. Cortot in Paris\, France and L’Institut des Sciences Politiques in Paris\, France. Hailed as “soprano extraordinaire” by WBUR\, Olga is a critically acclaimed classical soprano\, whose career involves both singing on prestigious concert stages\, including Carnegie Hall\, teaching & coaching\, and producing performances/events/ festivals.\nMs. Lisovska’s concerts have been featured on Ukrainian\, Italian and American TV and radio\, including on the Today Show and WBUR. \nOlga is a founder of a nonprofit organization\, Music\, Arts and Fashion Productions\, whose mission is to promote the arts and to educate. \nMs. Lisovska is a sought-after voice teacher since 2001. As a voice teacher\, diction and public speaking coach she has been working with Tanglewood Festival Chorus at Boston Symphony\, AstraZeneca pharmaceutical and biotechnology company\, with Odyssey Opera\, and New England Conservatory\, among others. Olga serves on the judge panel for the Boston International Music Competition.\nMost recently\, Olga partnered with a group of colleagues to found Boston International Symphony Orchestra. www.OlgaLisovska.com \nLevon Hovsepian is an Armenian-born classical pianist\, organist\, and educator based in Massachusetts. He began his musical training at Yerevan’s Sayat-Nova and Tchaikovsky Special Music Schools\, earning a Master’s with honors from Komitas Conservatory. He performed widely across Armenia\, Estonia\, and Moldova\, including with the Yerevan Symphony Orchestra… Levon earned an Artist Diploma and second Master’s with honors from the Longy School of Music in Cambridge. Since his acclaimed New York debut in 1993\, he has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Salem Philharmonic and New England Philharmonic and won honors in the Arlington Concerto Competition… Since 1991\, he has served as Music Director and organist at Belmont’s First Armenian Church and teaches at Powers Music School and other programs.
