As we know, the Israeli Mental Health System is facing unprecedented challenges supporting wounded soldiers, reservists’ families, families of hostages, and everyone else affected by the war.
The network of Jewish Mental Health Professionals is organizing a Mission Trip to Israel to support the Israeli clinicians and Mental Health Systems.
You will learn more about challenges and innovative ways of trauma treatment.
You will join us in brainstorming, focused on developing ideas for creating a supportive network in Boston.
Keynote Speaker: Gony Raban Zohar, A Licensed Clinical Psychologist from Israel specializing in individual, couples, and group therapy. Gony is a member of the Israeli Institute of Group Analysis and brings extensive experience in trauma and resilience. She served as a Mental Health Officer in the Israel Defense Forces (Air Force, Intelligence Corps, and the Combat Reaction Unit). Since October 7th, she has been dedicated to volunteering with combat veterans and civilians coping with PTSD and acute trauma.
The event is free, but we’re asking you to register in advance.
This event takes place at our Community Hub located at 1320 Centre St., Newton, 02459.
Parking is available between the buildings or on the ramp behind the open bar gate. Newton Centre T Station is 6 minutes away by foot.
