Bernice Lerner – “All the Horrors of War”
Hosted by 3GNY Board Member Shannon L. Saks

Sunday November 15, 2020 | 1:00pm ET | Virtual Event on Zoom

Please join us on November 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. via Zoom to hear Bernice Lerner discuss her new book, All the Horrors of War, which tells the remarkable stories of Rachel Genuth, a poor Jewish teenager from the Hungarian provinces, and Hugh Llewelyn Glyn Hughes, a high-ranking military doctor in the British Second Army. The two converge in Bergen-Belsen, where the girl fights for her life and the doctor struggles to save thousands on the brink of death.

Bernice will be in conversation with 3GNY board member Shannon Saks, whose grandmother was liberated from Bergen-Belson. Shannon will share snippets of her grandmother’s story, discuss how she relates to Bernice’s book, and share how her family history has shaped her involvement with 3GNY.
