Like many Americans, I have been looking for ways to stand up to the chaos, extremism, and attacks on democracy and national security we are now witnessing. One answer: support leaders with courage and integrity who are willing to fight back. That is why I am co-hosting a conversation and fundraiser with Congressman Eugene Vindman in Concord on Friday, October 3. Please find attached an invitation with additional information. You may remember Eugene as the Army colonel who helped expose Trump’s abuse of power during the infamous Ukraine call that led to Trump’s first impeachment. That moment made the Vindman name synonymous with patriotism, honor, and service. But standing up for democracy cost Eugene his military career.

Rather than walk away, Eugene ran for and won Virginia’s 7th district – one the most competitive in the country. In just six months, he has become a national leader on national security, veteran’s issues, and protecting working families and civil servants. Now, MAGA Republicans, far-right billionaires like Elon Musk, and even Trump’s U.S. Attorney are targeting him. But Eugene is not backing down.

Please join me and my fellow hosts on October 3 for an evening with Eugene Vindman, moderated by Harvard professor and democracy expert Danielle Allen. This will be an intimate gathering focused on what is at stake and how we can help Eugene continue fighting for our freedom and values.
