Honoring Jewish Composers: A Musical Celebration with Border Colleagues
A delight in the music of the Jewish composers Felix Mendelssohn, Ernest Bloch, and George Gershwin. Performing the works are Border Colleagues, a collaboration of three virtuosic musicians from Canada, Spain, and US who connect across geographic boundaries to celebrate music-making together. Thomasine Berg (Flute) has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in the US and Europe and has been the Boston Globe’s classical music editor. Michael Kevin Jones (Cello) played for the royal family as a student, has toured the world as a soloist, and is an avid teacher and coach. Bruce Vogt (Piano) appears throughout the world as a soloist and a chamber musician, and heads the piano department at the University of Victoria.

Cost: $15; $10 for JCC members. Tickets will be sold at the door, as available.
