Congregation Beth El in Sudbury is pleased to invite members of Center Makor to join us in our third annual celebration of HIAS Refugee Weekend in early February. Both events will take place at Congregation Beth El, at 105 Hudson Road in Sudbury, MA.

On Saturday evening, February 3 (7 pm), we will host a Cabaret, featuring singer Belle Linda Halpern, who will offer a musical tribute to her late teacher, Martha Schlamme, an international songstress, in this, Martha’s centennial year. This Cabaret is a fund-raiser for HIAS;  we are asking for $18 per person.

On Sunday afternoon, February 4 (2 pm), we will host a Coffee House, featuring brief stories – told by members of the community – on the topic of “Taking a Stand,” and how doing so made a positive difference. We ask that members of the Center Makor community consider joining us in this story-telling endeavor!
