Affirmation of Life: Art from Today’s Ukraine

The Gallery@First Parish in Bedford and the Bedford Cultural District in collaboration with the Ukrainian Cultural Initiative are presenting an important and rare exhibition of contemporary artwork from Ukraine entitled “Affirmation of Life: Art from today’s Ukraine” from September 23 through October 7. Vlad Shapiro and Nataliya Proskura, curators and residents of Bedford, have brought the art directly from renowned artists who are still working and living in Ukraine.  All proceeds will go to Mriya, a non-profit organization created by local Ukrainians, mostly young professionals and students, to provide humanitarian support for Ukraine as well as support for the arts.
