2Life residents are inspirational in the way they come together to form tight-knit, supportive communities. These deep relationships are invaluable when a member of the community suffers a loss through death. Often, friends do not know the customs surrounding the death of someone that is of another religion or culture and in fear of doing something disrespectful they are stymied and do nothing at all.

This learning symposium will be a step forward in breaking that feeling of helplessness in the face of others’ grief and our desire to console and offer friendship in a time of great need.
