THE XVII INTERNATIONAL DOSTOEVSKY SYMPOSIUM
July 15, 2019 @ 8:00 am - July 19, 2019 @ 5:00 pm
Pop-up Show on Dostoevsky’s Idiot
This July, Boston University and the North American Dostoyevsky Society host the XVII International Dostoevsky Society Symposium, a once-every-three-years scholarly exploration of all things Dostoyevsky. The theme for the conference, taking place July 15-19, is 150 Years of The Idiot, and it is accompanied by a pop-up exhibit, Dostoyevsky’s The Idiot Through Russian Eyes.
On view at BU’s Pardee School of Global Studies (121 Bay State Road) throughout the week, the show will feature high-quality facsimiles of illustrations from the collections of Moscow’s Russian State Literary Museum and St. Petersburg’s Dostoyevsky Literary Memorial Museum. BRAI is proud to be a partner in this exhibition project, and is helping present and install the show in Boston, with additional support from the Museum of Russian Icons.
You can register to attend the Dostoyevsky Society Symposium as an observer until July 8th.
Registration is not required to visit the exhibition. Further details of hours and events to follow soon.
