Adriana X. Jacobs is Associate Professor of Modern Hebrew Literature at the University of Oxford and author of “Strange Cocktail: Translation and the Making of Modern Hebrew Poetry” (2018). Her work on contemporary Hebrew and Israeli poetry and translation has appeared in various publications, including Shofar, PMLA, Studies in American Jewish Literature, and Prooftexts. She is the recipient of a 2015 PEN/Heim Translation Fund grant for her translation of Vaan Nguyen’s “The Truffle Eye,” forthcoming from Zephyr Press. She is currently Co-head Fellow of the 2021-21 Frankel Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies (“Translating Jewish Cultures”).
